You Should Consider Getting Your Pet Reflective Cat Collars And Fancy Cat Beds

Cats may be creatures of habit and prefer to linger in old familiar places. But many follow a more powerful instinct, that of curiosity. That’s when they start to stray further out of familiar surrounds often ending up missing for days. Curiosity won’t always kill a cat, but it often leads them astray.

Don’t Panic

That’s the first think you need not do when you find you beloved kitty is missing. Here are some things you should do;

* Search the entire house calling its name. It pays if the cat is trained to recognize its name or some sounds to get its attention. They could have fallen asleep under the bed, in the basement or some corner in the house.

* Check the yard and the immediate surrounds, including trees where they love to climb but can’t get down.

* Alert your neighbors that your pet is missing. Inform the local police and animal shelter about your predicament. Provide them with pictures of your kitty and a description. (It pays to take pictures of your cat with you.)

* If still missing after a day or two, get a Lost and Found ad space in your local newspaper and offer reward money for its return.

Then wait. You could be looking at empty fancy cat beds and lonely scratching posts around the house but if nothing bad happens to your cat, there’s a good chance it will return. Cats are known to be lost for days only to retrace their path back to their owners.  Otherwise, if your cat has one of those reflective cat collars with an ID tag, anyone finding your cat can call you to pick it up.

It pays to have your pet wear an ID collar, even it’s not any of those reflective cat collars. It will indicate that your cat is not feral and has an owner. But it also pays to use those reflective cat collars. They can make it easier to look for your cat that is sure to be frightened enough to be in hiding. Those collars can also save your cat from being run over as they reflect an oncoming car’s headlights.

With all these measures done, the chances your kitty can be found safe increases. You can soon be looking at it sleeping soundly on one of her luxury cat beds.
